Reading Time: 2 mins read

The Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks 115-91 to take a 1-0 series lead. The Miami Heat were on fire from the field all game. Meanwhile, the Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks struggled from the field. They found themselves down big early and were never able to get back into the game. Duncan Robinson led the way for the Miami Heat off of the bench. Robinson is one of the best shooters on the planet and he was able to catch fire at an opportune time. Robinson scored 27 points off of the bench. He shot 9-for-10 from the field. He shot 8-for-9 from the three-point line. Robinson set a Heat franchise playoff record knocking down eight three-pointers in one game. Robinson spoke postgame about game one and didn’t want to get too high or too low about his big game.

“It’s always nice to throw the first punch,” Robinson said. “But in the grand scheme of things, it’s just winning one game.”

Atlanta Hawks’ Head Coach had high praise for the Miami Heat and their performance postgame.

“I thought Miami played at another level,” Hawks coach Nate McMillan said. “We talked about that in our locker room, that in the playoffs, there’s another level you have to get to. … They showed us tonight there’s another level we have to get to in order to compete in these playoffs.”
