The Magic won’t see Bol Bol suit up for the team this season.
The big man came to the Magic at the trade deadline in a deal with the Celtics, though he’s still recovering from foot surgery he underwent in January and won’t be back before the end of the year, as the team announced.
“Bol’s working very hard,” President of basketball operations Jeff Weltman said. “He’s working diligently. He’s working every day. He continues to ramp up. He’s just doing individual work right now. We’re going to be careful with him as we are with everyone to make sure he doesn’t skip steps in his rehabilitation.”
Bol was the No.44 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and spent over two seasons in Denver (only appearing in 53 games). He’ll be a free agent during the offseason.
