The Miami Heat have improved to 20 games over the .500 mark with their victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. This is the first time the team has been 20 games over .500 since the 2013-2014 season.
The Heat’s 112-99 victory over the Bulls improves the team to 41-21 overall on the season and gives the club more cushion atop the Eastern Conference with the Bulls sitting in second place in the East, two games back of the Heat.
Tyler Herro led the way for the Miami Heat off the bench. As he has done numerous times this season. Herro scored 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field. Herro knocked down 1-for-3 from behind the three-point line. He also grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists in 30 minutes of play. Herro spoke postgame and seemed really unbothered but Heat naysayers.
“Whatever people want to say about us is cool,” Herro said.
Gabe Vincent scored 20 points as well to help lead the Heat to victory. Vincent shot 7-for-13 from the field. He also knocked down 4-for-8 from behind the three-point line. He also grabbed two rebounds and dished out three assists in 33 minutes of play. Vincent spoke postgame about his opportunity to start with Lowry out the lineup.
“When the opportunity comes you want to take advantage of it,” Vincent said. “We miss Kyle and can’t wait to get him back.”
