Add the Boston Celtics to the list of teams pursuing supposedly New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday.
According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Celtics are attempting to trade their three first-round draft picks (Nos. 14, 26 and 30) for a lottery pick. They would then use the lottery pick as part of a deal for Holiday.
The Celtics would also need to include salary to make a deal for Holiday work. That might mean including either small forward Gordon Hayward or point guard Kemba Walker, as O’Connor noted.
Holiday, 30, is reportedly being pursued by up to 10 teams. Along with the Celtics, the list of suitors is also said to include the Brooklyn Nets and Denver Nuggets.
