The Orlando Magic have had trade discussions centered on forward Aaron Gordon, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.
It has not been determined if the Magic are still having those discussions, or how many teams have been at the other end of the line.
One Western Conference executive told AmicoHoops he has heard the Milwaukee Bucks are among those talking to the Magic on a Gordon deal.
It’s believed the Magic will continue to listen to offers once the NBA lifts the moratorium on trades — expected to take place by early next week.
Gordon, 25, is 6-foot-8 and viewed as the player who the Magic are most likely to move this offseason. Other than All-Star center Nikola Vucevic, Gordon is also the Magic player who would presumably bring back the most in return.
The Magic drafted Gordon with the fourth overall pick in 2014. He averaged 14.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and tied his career-high with 3.7 assists last season.
He was also viewed as the team’s best defender — something that reportedly has drawn strong interest from several contenders.
