USA Basketball is expected to announce 11 of it’s 12 man roster for the 2024 Olympics in Paris with ESPN reporting that LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum and Bam Adebayo among the players making the cut.
It was previously reported that James was likely to spearhead a group that included Curry and Durant. James and Anthony Davis will be one of three pairs of teammates. The Lakers duo will be joined by Celtics teammates Tatum and Jrue Holiday, who were both previously reported as “locks” for the 2024 team, and Suns teammates Durant and Devin Booker, both of whom won a gold medal with Team USA in the Tokyo Games.
The organization is set to leave one roster spot open for competition ahead of July’s training camp and exhibition games in Las Vegas. It’s possible that several of the 30 NBA players who were previously announced as finalist but not reportedly selected so far will be in the group that competes for the last roster spot.
