President Donald Trump plans to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, per the New York Post, as the Knicks host their first Finals contest in 27 years.
Should he attend, Trump would become the first sitting President to attend an NBA Finals game. Barack Obama took in Game 2 of the 2019 Finals, but as a former President, and George W. Bush attended in 1999 as the governor of Texas.
The visit comes with the President already a fixture in the NBA conversation. As we covered, the league’s media has spent recent weeks invoking the President in unexpected ways.
